AIMS: Create an exhibition and archive of photographs and information regarding the most ecologically and culturally important trees and plants in their forest. THE FIRST WORKSHOP: INTRODUCTION TO THE CAMERA
The first workshop involcved twenty-one students from seven communities some more than 5 hours walk away.
It culminated in an exhibition held in the Rainforest, of large prints on plastic paper, and the making of 7 "talking books" of photographs with captions spoken in Ashaninka by each student - so that the project could be shared with elders and other communities further afield.
