PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN BY THE ASHÁNINKA STUDENTS IN THE FIRST WORKSHOP NOKISANORI - OUR EYES: Ashaninka Photographers collective. AIMS for 2nd Workshop: The Asháninka wish to create an exhibition and archive of photographs and information regarding the most ecologically and culturally important trees and plants in their forest. The results will be used by the Asháninka for education and advocacy (e.g. within TSIMI’s newly established Centre for Rainforest Education and Interpretation). POSTCARDS from the ASHÁNINKA - we are currently working on a small limited edition booklet of postcards to raise financing for supplies for the photography workshop. |
